TOWN GARDEN - HAMPSTEAD VILLAGE

One half of a back garden in Hampstead, the focus on this design was to provide a wildlife haven for birds and pollinators. The current garden was mainly laid to lawn and this will be substituted with large pollinator friendly planting beds. Galvanised steel raised beds will be practical spaces to grow herbs, cut flowers and/or vegetables and at the same time keep the plants out of the owners’ beloved dog’s reach (hopefully!). A metal pond will be another great way to attract wildlife into the garden. The small south facing patio surrounded by planting at the back of the garden is designed to be an intimate place to relax and enjoy watching the wildlife. The planting beds will be filled with pollinator friendly plants, especially for during the winter when food source can be scarce. A mix of perennials, bulbs, shrubs and grasses will bring structure and interest all year round.
